Top Deals??

My Thoughts?

  • There is no offseason in NIL and that remains true as states are constantly trying to figure out new ways for their in-state schools to gain an advantage in recruiting. The latest being the state of Georgia, which has one of the highest state income tax rates among the SEC schools, in their push to make NIL income tax exempt. I believe this is a smart move for the state and could be one that sways top recruits who stand to earn a lot more money in NIL than an athlete who doesn’t expect to earn as much. ?

  • We are seeing a bit of a drop in the amount of NIL deals being announced, but in my experience, this is typical for this time of year as brands and companies are focused on things such as the Super Bowl, however, I would?expect there to be an uptick in deals as we near the peak of both men’s and women’s college basketball seasons. ?

Conclusion?

That’s a wrap for Vol. 6?of NILove. I hope that you have been enjoying, and that this newsletter has provided education, sparked thought, and started conversation. As always, please like, share, and subscribe.?
