THE NAME DOESN'T FAIL (AN UNDERGRADUATE HOSTEL DRAMA).

Let me gist you about the hostel drama that happened in school last year December.

In Luth, we have two hostels for girls - Block 1 hostel and OPH hostel.

Initially, several girls loved OPH hostel because it is a girls only hostel and you don't have to see guys when you are trying to get to the bathroom...lol.

You see block 1 is the hostel that I am staying, initially, when I got to that hostel...I was not happy because we had boys hostel around but I grew to love it.

An incident happened at OPH hostel where there was no light for about a week, so girls didn't have a place to cook and most of them had to come to my hostel to do basic activities. Because of that incident, a lot of them made up their mind to move to block hostel.

In block hostel, there are about 42 rooms, so when we had people from OPH hostel trying to move to block, demand became higher than supply (typical public university drama).

You can imagine having about 300 people focusing on getting 42 rooms...it was crazy.

In fact, getting a room in block 1 became a prayer point...lol. I remember when myself and my roommate were targeting about 3 specific rooms in the hostel, we discovered shortly afterwards that nothing less than three teams were on each room.

It was extremely disturbing, I had to start praying about it.

One night, after we have submitted our application for one of the rooms, I had a dream, I saw that they released the list for the hostel with the occupants of each room and my name wasn't in the room I chose ,it was some other people that got it (they were also actively targeting that room). It became a struggle in that dream.

By the spirit of God inside me, I sensed that God was trying to tell me that they were making a decision on who to assign to each room.

Shortly afterwards, I was having a conversation with our departmental president and she confirmed that she was called to the DSA office regarding room number.

So I intensified my prayers, on one of those nights while praying the holy Spirit said to me - I have given room 122 to you already from the moment you asked.

I remembered having a conversation with my dad regarding the dream and he said that may be God is trying to let you know in advance what is going to happen. I said to him - This is what God said to me and it will happen...fingers crossed till then.

My dad was like "let's wait and see then".

Lo and behold, the list came out and our name was exactly on the room I picked.

You need to see the joy on my face.

I am here to tell you something shortly today, don't be afraid to use the name of Jesus.

I'm not talking about using it casually, I'm talking about using it such that you are conscious that the moment you say "in the name of Jesus", it is done already.

The name comes through every single time.

You are one with the name, the possibilities of the name are in you.

Why things don't happen is because you are asking from a fallen consciousness.

So how do you use the name?

By asking from the consciousness of where you are in Jesus, the finished work on the cross and the unlimited power available through the name.

Look at what the word says below:

Philippians 2 vs 9-11.

Therefore God has highly exalted Him and has freely bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, that at the mention of the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of those in heaven, those on earth and those under the earth and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus is lord to the glory of God the Father.

No other name, only Jesus.

The same yesterday, today and forever.

If it can happen in the bible, then it can happen to you.

I have never seen the righteous forsaken.
