Nambawan Savings and Loan Society Supports Top PNG Amateur Golfer Morgan Anato

The Nambawan Savings & Loan Society Limited has for the first time come on board to show support for top PNG amateur golfer Morgan Annato.

CEO John Solok said the support comes with a K15,000 sponsorship and that is to help Morgan as the first recipient of the 2025 NSLS-JRA Oasis Sponsorship program.

Morgan is the current reigning 2023 PNG Open Champion in the Amateur Division, however missed out by two shots to reclaim the title again this year.

Chairman of the NSLS board of directors John Cholai said, with the support like this that comes from and initiated by NSLS and supported by JRA Holdings and Oasis Pharmaceutical as joint sponsors.

"Even though it is a small gesture at this point, it is one way of actually promoting athletes like Morgan as we believe that supporting local talents is important for the development of sports in Papua New Guinea," Cholai added.

Solok said that the support will last for a year (2024-2025).

Annato thanked NSLS for the support, saying that this is the first time for such a support after playing for a while.
