Naksh's Chronicles - Chapter 1

Sophomore @JECRC | JIC, Foundation | Ex-CarDho | Incubation | Social Media Management | Writing | Content Creation
From being undecided on what college to choose during his counselling process, to being an absolute introvert on campus, to having a community who he now calls his people, transforming him into a total social being, here’s a short version of the long story of a boy named Nakshatra, finding his family in college <3 Yes, the JIC family! ??
Namaskar, connections! Let’s hop right in, in this rollercoaster of a ride that Naksh stepped on when he stood on the gates of Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre (JECRC) . ??
Navigating his way through this maze of words, new faces and a whole new world, unknown to him (yet), he found himself in the middle of a big college campus, and so started this rollercoaster. ??
College had just started a couple months ago and then the inauguration of a majestic - and one of a kind - JIC co-working space happened, and a LSM with IIT-KGP followed soon after. But where’s Naksh in all this exciting chaos? ??
From being a total introvert, not knowing who to talk to, sitting silently near the window in the front seat of his class and wondering how he will cruise his way through these new faces that surround him - to being around with this warm lot of energetic, passionate and loving people, it sure has been one heck of a ride for him! Sure, getting JECRC as a college wasn’t really his first choice, but fate, one good fate. ?
Then one fine September morning, hesitantly, shakingly he found himself sitting in this green, busy office, filled with people hustling on the top of their campus canteen, and knowing almost nobody. This guy, who everyone calls Tarun Saraswat sir asked him, almost startling him - “Aise khada kyu hai bhai?" ??
"Interview dene aaya hu sir, JIC k liye…” - Naksh replied ??
“Idhr baith ja, aur dede mast!” said the guy in specs, pointing to a chair??
“Yes sir, thank you.”

Naksh’s first interesting interaction on campus, something sparked inside his ribcage. “What just happened?” - he asked himself, only to be called by this 6-foot guy saying “Interview nahi dena?” and somehow, he cleared his throat, and next day, cleared the interview to be a part of this new group called ‘JIC YUVA’. ??
Slowly, but surely, he was learning new things, meeting new people, making new mistakes, and making more - and did he stop? No. Every day he woke up, went to college, then whenever he found any time, he dropped by to meet his new family, the JIC family - taking it one task, one new thing and one new LinkedIn connection a day (almost being too friendly with some, hm? Shivansh Agarwal sir) ??
“There’s going to be a 5-day Induction programme for you guys and miss matt krna” - said the guy in specs. The sky was cloudy, but Naksh’s weather forecast said, ‘Interesting with a chance of scattered mistakes - perfect weather to do something new’. And so, he went to this ‘Induction’ everyone around him kept hyping themselves for. ????
As the curtains drew on an inspiring and transformative five-day journey at the JIC Induction Programme, he found himself immersed in a kaleidoscope of learning, growth, and camaraderie. Each day felt like unearthing a new side of him he knew too little about, under the guidance of remarkable mentors and obviously, the guy in specs. ??
Each day, he was greeted with new tasks, cementing the learnings and applying newfound wisdom. The camaraderie and collective pursuit of excellence within the cohort ignited that spark further to become a fire of hope, a new, never-extinguishable one. ???
This week was not just about absorbing information but yes, a rollercoaster of self-discovery for him. As we bid adieu to the induction programme, we step forth not just as individuals but as a cohort armed with knowledge, skills, and a shared commitment to continuous growth. ??
And this new chapter on Naksh’s life ends here, only setting forth more stories to be written and told (whoa whoa wait! Writer’s note - being serious people, the JIC Induction Programme wasn't just an event some event for me; it was a total transformative experience that moulded that Naksh, into the person who is writing this today. Here's to embracing the future, armed with the wisdom gained and the connections forged in these memorable five days (and many, many more to come). ???
