Nakheel Awards Over Dh5bn in Contracts for Luxury Villa Development at Palm Jebel Ali

Nakheel, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded three major contracts valued at more than Dh5bn ($1.36bn) for the construction of luxury villas on Palm Jebel Ali, a premier artificial island in the United Arab Emirates. This development marks a significant milestone in shaping Dubai’s future waterfront destination.

The contracts, awarded to Ginco General Contracting, Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast, and United Engineering Construction Company (UNEC), will kickstart the construction of 723 villas from the Beach Collection and Coral Collection on the island’s initial six fronds. The project is set for completion by the end of 2026, bringing high-end living spaces to the heart of Dubai's iconic Palm Jebel Ali.

This ambitious development reflects Dubai’s vision of growth and prosperity. Commenting on the project, Dubai Holding Real Estate CEO Khalid Al Malik stated: “Palm Jebel Ali represents the pinnacle of waterfront living and reflects Dubai’s vision of growth and prosperity. It is set to contribute significantly to the emirate's economic development, attracting investment and tourism for years to come.”

The villas will be spread across Fronds K to P, offering future residents luxury homes with private beach access. The Beach Collection includes 539 villas, each with five to six bedrooms, while the Coral Collection features 184 seven-bedroom villas. Each collection offers residents a choice of eight distinct architectural styles, with built-up areas ranging from 8,000ft2 to 15,000ft2.

In addition to the villas, the contracts cover the development of infrastructure, public spaces, utilities, and landscaping, aligning with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan. These amenities aim to create a sustainable, pedestrian-friendly environment that promotes seamless connectivity.

Each contractor will focus on specific fronds, with Ginco General Contracting taking responsibility for 197 villas on Fronds O and P, Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast handling 275 villas on Fronds M and N, and UNEC constructing 251 villas on Fronds K and L.

Palm Jebel Ali spans seven islands stretching 13.4km and boasts more than 90km of coastline. Upon completion, the development will offer mixed-use neighbourhoods, recreational spaces, and smart city technologies designed to provide residents and visitors with sustainable, luxury living.

This significant investment in Palm Jebel Ali reaffirms Dubai’s position as a global hub for luxury real estate and waterfront developments, setting a new benchmark for exclusive living in the region.
