Naira In Tears????

Dear Friend,

If you are a Nigerian reading this, you might get a bit of my gist today just by seeing the topic, but read till the end because there is a vital thing I will be showing you using the story of the dollar spike in the last 24 hours.

This morning I woke up and my sister informed me that the dollar had gotten to about 690 something....Well, she was very excited because she had some dollars.

I was also excited, but I had to rush for some activities, so I wasn't really paying attention. Before I got home this night, I saw that the dollar had gotten up to 710 today. Although it later came down this night.

Now, this scenario really got me thinking of the weirdest thing.

I kept asking myself,

If I was the Naira, how would I feel by now?

I know it sounds weird, but think about it. In the past 24 hours, a lot of people have traded their Naira for USDT on several crypto exchanges. That sounds more like a rejection.

In fact, today a friend of mine exchanged his Naira for USDT when it was at 710. Unfortunately for him, it got down to 690 something later on.????

Anyway, back to the main story..

Imagine you were the Naira, How would you feel right now?

Rejected right? Of course yes

This story exposed me to the fact that just because you have a job or you have clients or followers doesn't mean that they actually love you. They are just there for their selfish desires.

Lol Stay with me and hear me out, I come in peace.

As human beings, we are always on the lookout for the best processes and things that would favour us.

Whenever a brand stops satisfying us, we look for the next best brand, no matter how much we "loved" the first brand.

It's the same thing with you as a career or business person.

• The reason why your client dropped you for someone else offering a similar service is that you became less relevant to them. Maybe they couldn't afford you or they found a better quality substitute...
• The reason why a recruiter would pick someone else is that you were not as relevant. Just like the situation today. The dollar became so valuable in the last 24 hours that almost anyone who knew how to trade naira for dollars, did that to have the more valuable currency (the dollar).

Before now, the same people trading their naira today were judiciously holding their hard-earned naira and protecting it. Poor Naira would have thought they loved it so much until this happened. ????

Don't be like Naira. Evolve before you are abandoned!

It's one thing to get relevant and it's a much better thing to remain relevant. People would always go for the brand that remains relevant by consistently remaining valuable.

You don't want to be the brand that people leave because they found a more valuable brand (just like the Naira and dollar).
