Last week we discussed personal power, and this week, we turn our attention outwards, to the power of connecting.?

The 4th key to the puzzle of your self-discovery journey, yourself and connection is about so many things:

Community is the foundation of human connection and progress; finding belonging in whatever way makes sense for you.?

Unconditional love and forgiveness are levers we pull when we truly embrace the messiness of being humans that are imperfect and make mistakes.?

A true understanding of the meaning of gratitude and building it into everything we do.

Connection is about compassion, joy & feeling whole and fulfilled.?

This might sound like fluff, and something we've grown to get the ick from.

In reality, it's a peaceful culmination of the last 3 phases, turning our love for ourselves into a truly embodied experience.

In today's newsletter we explore:

? The power of community

? The path to belonging

? The easiest way to keep up your gratitude practice

? Snacks that remind you that you're alive

? The magic of forgiveness

A reminder to be?
People's hands resting parallel on a tree trunk to symolise community.

We put a tremendous emphasis on the self. That means we can forget the critical role of community.

While you do have immense power (see last weeks NL) never forget that we are all connected to something greater than ourselves. Whether that's your local community, your friends and family, nature - the power of the collective is unmatched.

Realising and leaning into this is key to unlocking your fulfilment.?

In what way can you actively share take part in your community? We need to strengthen it now more than ever.

WHAT WE'RE READING

The path to belonging
Book cover for "Eternal Echoes" by John O'Donohue

“An increasing majority of people feel no belonging. We have fallen out of rhythm with life. The art of belonging is the recovery of the wisdom of rhythm.”

John O’Donohue’s moving account of our eternal quest to feel a part of this world will rattle around your mind long after you’ve read it.

Find belonging

A quote to ponder

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more… Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

Melody Beattie

Ho'oponopono: how practicing forgiveness can connect you deeper with yourself and others

?

I'm sorry

Please forgive me?

Thank you

I love you

?

These four simple phrases making up this ancient Hawaiian prayer, are believed to be a powerful way to connect deeper to ourselves and others.

Ho'oponopono can literally be translated as “correct a mistake”, “make it right” or “move things back into balance”.

By repeating these words over and over, and forgiving ourselves and others for being human, we release the burden and heaviness of the emotion attached to a person, problem or issue, all to free ourselves.

This tradition teaches that all of life is connected, and it's not what happens to us that counts but what we do with what happens to us.

Here is the beautiful story of Dr. Ihaleakala Hew Len, demonstrating the healing power of this prayer. A man who cured so many of his patients with this mantra alone.
