Prerequisites

Seatime required for first OOW (Deck) CoC in accordance with STCW Regulation II/1

Assessment

Delegate’s performance and understanding is continuously assessed throughout the Course by use of end of module examination and practical assessment in the simulators.

Teaching

Classroom theory based sessions followed on by practical navigational exercises in LJMU’s navigation or ship handling simulator.

Accreditation/Approval

MCA as per the Section A-I/12 of the STCW Code governing the use of simulators for training and assessment and the MNTB standard for NAEST Operational Course.
