NABERS - Market Map
Following the interest in my NABERS by Numbers data analysis last year I have updated the infographic for 2016 with a focus on the mapped data.
To go straight to the new infographic, follow the link below:

In this year's update, I have included a bunch of filters and interactive controls to enable you to find the data that interests you the most.
The data has been extracted from the official NABERS website on the 8th August 2016 and the 'customer' data field has been used to group organisations that have multiple NABERS rated buildings. This is summarised in the table on the right.
The big map at the top automatically re-sizes depending on the filters and selections enabling you to see at a glance all of the buildings or tenancies for different organisations, rating scores or types.
Each building or tenancy on the big map is listed separately below which includes the ungrouped 'customer' data field. If I haven't accurately grouped any customer data, please contact me and I'll happily update the viz.
Additionally I have included several maps at the lower end of the infographic for the CBD of each state capital.
The tool is a great way to explore the NABERS dataset and provides interesting insights into the most and least energy efficient buildings in Australia.
For example, filtering for 6 star base building ratings without Green Power and also using my 'big building' filter reveals only 2 buildings. The Sirius building at 23 Furzer Street in Canberra and 171 Collins Street in Melbourne. For me these buildings represent absolute best practice in energy efficient building design and (crucially) operation.
It's also fun to look up all the 0 star buildings...(all those big red dots)
What can you find in this data?
