Product Description:

1. HENGDA-E8253, N-(2-Aminoethyl)-3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane, CAS# 5089-72-5, is a diamino-functional silane that acts as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials(for example glass, metals, and fillers) and organic polymers(thermosets, thermoplastics, and elastomers) and as a surface modifier.
2. HENGDA-E8253 is a colorless to slightly yellowish liquid with an amine-like odor soluble in alcohols, aliphatic, and aromatic hydrocarbons.

Applications:

1. It is used in 1-part and 2-part silicone-crosslinked/polysulfide sealants to improve the adhesion to various substrates, including glass, steel, aluminum, and concrete.
2. Applied to phenolic and epoxy model plastics, it can reduce the water absorption rate of molding composite materials, improve the wet electrical properties of products at low frequencies, and increase the temperature resistance strength.
3. They are used in phenolic resin adhesives to improve moisture resistance and resilience after compression.
4. Applied to the coating system to improve the adhesion between the coating and the surface.

Reactivity:

1. HENGDA-E8253 is a bifunctional organic compound in which the silicon-functional ethoxy-groups hydrolyze in the presence of water to form reactive silanols, which can be bonded to an inorganic substrate; the organophilic diamino group can interact with a suitable polymer.
2. The hydrolysis of HENGDA-E8253 takes place autocatalytically. The pH of the hydrolysate is about 10-11. For longer stability of the hydolysale, a pH of 4 is recommended.
3. Examples of particularly suitable inorganic substrates are glass or glass fibers. Examples of suitable polymers are PA, PBT, PC, EVA, modified PP, PVAC, PVC, acrylates, and silicones.
4. HENGDA-E8253 can undergo reactions with ketones or esters as solvents. The silane or silanized substrates can react with carbon dioxide to form the corresponding carbonates resp. carbamates. Product modifications are possible through addition reactions with suitable monomeric or polymeric compounds(for example isocyanates, epoxides, etc.).

Storage and shelf life:

1. HENGDA-E8253 is supplied in 25kg,200 kg drums, and 1000 kg IBC containers.
2. The containers must remain tightly sealed during storage and kept in a cool, well-aired place. The product should be protected against humidity.
3. In the unopened container, HENGDA-E8253 has a shelf life of min.12 months from delivery.
