Branding Myths: It is Embarrassing, good businesses still don’t understand the power of branding.
Whether planned or not, your business has a brand and you can’t stop it.
Here are the top 3 branding mistakes holding you back.
1. “I don’t need a brand” — You would find that you need a brand because you do not own your brand, you can only influence it.
2. “I can handle my branding” — no,?you cant. Branding takes a consistent output that most small businesses cannot keep up with.?Hire someone?to take care of it, you would be happy you did.
3. “I have a logo, I have a brand” — this had got to be the saddest one of them all. No, your logo is not your brand. It is only a representation of your brand. Your brand is what anyone but most importantly your target perceives your brand.
Branding is a comprehensive representation of your value, mission, vision, and product/service. In essence, what comes to the minds of people when they hear your name, see your logo, product, or even see your color scheme somewhere.
Branding is much easier to visualize than it is to substantiate in the form of delivering what is promised, provided the brand is even unique enough.
