Myths of Assisted Living
The Preserve of Roseville has put together a shortlist of myths surrounding Assisted Living. This list demonstrates what sets us apart and why our community could be the best choice for you or a loved one!
Myth #1: "Assisted Living is the same as a Nursing Home."
False! Assisted Living communities are for seniors ages 55+ looking to make the most of life while needing caring support from day-to-day. We assist residents with Activities of Daily Living so that they can get back to doing what they love. We even welcome pets, so bring along Fifi or Fido!
Myth #2: "I won't have any privacy in Assisted Living."
False! Our residents' apartments are private and feature all the comforts of home. Whether you're a homebody or a social butterfly, you will be able to come and go as you please! On the other hand, you're also able to have friends over whenever you want... Even overnight guests!
Myth #3: "I won't be able to do the things I love."
False! We pride ourselves in creating an environment where residents thrive and encourage residents to follow their passions. If mom loves to bake and is upset about having to leave her kitchen behind, let her know that our apartments feature full-size kitchens that are perfect for making birthday cakes, holiday cookies, and all sorts of homemade goodies! We also have standing gardens, regular outings, volunteer opportunities, and more.
Myth #4: "My family won't have a reason to visit me anymore."
False! One of the biggest concerns for seniors is will they have any social activity. At The Preserve, we assist mom or dad with their needs so your time with them is spent making memories, not making lists, and completing tasks.
