Mythical Games Acquires Web3 Marketplace DMarket

Mythical Games , the developer of the popular game Blankos Block Party, has acquired DMarket (acquired by Mythical Games) , a Web3 gaming marketplace. With this acquisition, Mythical has revamped its own platform, now called Mythical Marketplace 2.0. The new platform aims to provide a seamless and secure user experience, allowing for peer-to-peer transactions and enabling gamers to take part in play-and-own economies. Mythical Marketplace 2.0 is built on the company’s new layer 1 EVM blockchain and powered by its native token, $MYTH. The company has fully integrated DMarket's technology, including its blended payment gateway and advanced anti-fraud and AML protection systems. According to John Linden, the CEO of Mythical Games, this new version of the marketplace is meant to enhance the player experience and set the standard for the future of gaming. Initially, the marketplace will support virtual assets from the games NFL Rivals and Nitro Nation World Tour, with plans to expand to other Mythical titles in the future. This acquisition represents a significant milestone for Mythical, as it allows the company to tap into DMarket's expertise and provide the most advanced trading platform for virtual assets. As of December, it also made Mythical the second-largest processor of digital assets on a distributed ledger after the Ethereum mainnet.
