Myth vs Facts of Technology
We have many myths that we believe in about the technology we use in our day-to-day life and there are very few instances when we come to know about the truth. Let's bust some myths about tech today:
1. Myth: Bigger battery means better battery backup
Fact: Bigger battery does have more efficiency in storing energy, but the battery backup totally depends on how much of it used by the system and the processor using it.
2. Myth: More Bars means better network quality
Fact: More bars shown does not mean better quality. If you are near o a mobile tower it will show more bars but if the users in that area are more, then there are chances of having poor calls or low internet speed.
3. Myth: Installing Antivirus makes you 100% safe
Fact: Installing antivirus will help you out with many bugs and viruses entering your mobile or computer. But when you install applications that are not safe and give permissions for the whole system to it, then the antivirus cannot do anything about it. The applications from Playstore or Appstore are also not 100% safe.
4. Myth: Overnight charging may lead to an explosion
Fact: It is proved that the chances for the explosion are very rare and it is caused mainly because of faulty charger or any problem in the system.
5. Myth: Deleting files from Recycle bin means permanent removal
Fact: Whenever you delete files from recycle bin, it shows free-up space but the files are still there waiting to be overwritten. If these files are not yet overwritten they can easily be recovered using apps like RECUVA.
6. Myth: Incognito mode makes you invisible
Fact: Incognito mode does not make you invisible. When you use incognito mode, the system just erases few data like your search history, cache, cookies, etc from locally saved data. The external sources like your network provider, websites you visit, online services like Facebook, Twitter, etc. can still track your activity. A better option to keep your safety and privacy is to use a VPN.
These are just a few myths and facts about the technology we have in our use in day to day basis.
