Why is it that we hesitate to ask for support? Why do we glorify the notion of doing it all alone? I've been there, caught up in what I call the Wonder Woman syndrome ??♀?—balancing a thriving life while managing two heart conditions and a brain injury.
But after about 8 days of playing superhero, I threw in the towel. Not because I had some epic breakdown, but because I realized it takes far more courage to ask for support than to suffer in silence.
