Myreze Joins Epic Games At NAB 2019
NAB is where the titans of broadcast, technology, and creativity meet to exchange their ideas, thoughts, and visions.
This year Myreze teamed up with Epic Games to dazzle visitors at the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas. Standing beside our childhood heroes, we got to define what the future has in store for us and our clients. It was a dream come true.
Dressed as Super Mario for the occasion, CEO Bj?rn Myreze went live to tell our story: from his childhood vision to where we are as a company today.
Bj?rn started his journey as a kid tinkering with technology and graphics while living inside his own universe of wonder, magic, and creativity – dreaming of turning his inner reality into our virtual reality.
He was still very young when he was first noticed by professionals in the broadcast industry.
After almost a decade in the industry, gaining experience from top Norwegian broadcasters, he set out on a new adventure; this time fully focused on his dream.
MYREZE began in a small office with no other assets than Bj?rns vision. He asked us a simple question; “What if the unreal engine could be used for broadcast graphics?” – and this opened up a whole new world of potential.
When we first looked into this idea, the technology was just not ready. Then, working with Epic Games and The Future Group, we pulled together to create the world’s first IMR TV show, Lost In Time, primarily using the Unreal Engine.
Bj?rn’s question had been answered: it could be done!
After Lost in Time, we took on real-time projects across the broadcast and entertainment industry. And now, together with SmartSportz, we are redefining the way live sports is produced. All thanks to Epic Games and the Unreal Engine.
That is why it is an honor for us to share our vision and goal with such an amazing company of incredible talents delivering groundbreaking results for the entire industry.
We look forward to what the future holds.
