Mylan’s Legacy of Impact: Making a Difference One Person at a Time
Like many of you, I’ve been quarantined at home with my family during this challenging time in our history. COVID-19 has affected everything about the way we live, work and connect with others. But even as the virus has challenged us in ways we never imagined, it has also shone a strong spotlight on something incredibly powerful: how each of us can make a difference for others.
At Mylan, we have called that individual impact 7B:1 – the power of one person to make a difference in the lives of the more than 7 billion people around the world. This week, we released Mylan’s 2019 Global Social Responsibility Report, “A Legacy of Impact," which highlights our most recent environmental, social and governance accomplishments, but also chronicles the company’s nearly 60 years of making a difference. While the world around us has changed, Mylan’s mission has remained the same. Our passion for delivering better health for a better world is at the core of everything we do and has never been more important.
In today’s unprecedented times, our work may look a little different. Employees in our plants are practicing social distancing and our sales employees are making virtual calls to healthcare providers and customers, among other changes. But the commitment of each of our team members and partners to make a long-term impact to help others remains as strong as ever. As I have said, it is not the abilities of each individual player that leads to lasting success, but the strength of the entire team – the “Power of Us” truly can change the world.

3 年It is easy these days to feel overwhelmed by the pressure of being successful. It’s as if we as a society have created a benchmark that success is measured as profit or notoriety. In some cases, this can be true. We all dream of making a legacy of impact. Making sure we leave something that will help the generations that come after us. For some people, their want to be known for their success and wealth, and others by the contributions they make to humanity and society as a whole. Heather Bresch thanks for posting.
