My year in review - reshaping my business

What a year! Thanks so much to everyone who has supported me. It’s 7 years since I started my business through the TC platform. There's now 8 in the team but continued growth has forced me to reshape my business. Another “me” is needed and I’m delighted to announce that Michael (pictured below) has joined the business.

Referrals account for 90% of new enquiries - these remain the lifeblood of my business - thanks so much to everyone who has passed on my details or made an introduction.

I have big plans for 2024, continuing to grow my corporate client base. For holidays, I will strive to find my existing clients their perfect trip of a lifetime where it fits with my expertise but will also introduce clients to TC Experts to provide even better service.

I’ve realised that to provide the best service, there are some enquiry types which are better served by a true expert rather than myself. I’ve built some incredible partnerships with experts in everything from European to Cruise to Ski holidays.

Next year, we will introduce an Online Booking Tool, enabling our corporate clients to consolidate their online and offline bookings. New reporting capabilities will support our clients with the increased need for booking data and ESG reporting.

I’ve combined my 2 passions and am a very proud sponsor of Hove Rugby Club.

Travel this year included New York with the family, a celebratory Gold trip to Sardinia, 2 weeks in Greece and Paris for the Rugby World Cup.

Our annual conference had too many highlights to mention but I thought Louie Theroux was a standout speaker.

TC globally has achieved ￡933m in sales, up 23% YOY. 340 new Travel Counsellors have joined the network, bringing the total globally to over 2000.

As I look back on the years sales (6% up), I am filled with gratitude to all those that have supported my business with bookings, referrals and advice.

Here's to another year of exploration, growth and exciting adventures ahead.
