My year at Auritas

Thank you everyone for your wishes on my work anniversary at Auritas. Wow! Its a year already? Cliched as it may sound, there is no better way to say it: It seems like yesterday when I joined Auritas. Much has happened since I joined Auritas. Needless to say there have been steps (achievements??) and missteps(lessons learnt?) and when I look back at the year, here is what I see:

  • Working with the team to implement our version of PMO
  • Welcoming the arrival of the HANA Box into our environment, thanks to the tireless efforts of the sales team
  • Building a legacy retirement solution on JAVA
  • Creating collateral for Predictive Analytics
  • Creating and delivering a series of Predictive Analytics Webinars
  • Building an Android App for the DELL team using Meteor for SAPPHIRE though it wasn't used :(
  • Building an IOT application to monitor bandwidth consumption at the Auritas office
  • Participating in SAPPHIRE 2016
  • Travelling around the US delivering presentations on Predictive Analytics as a part of our Predictive Analytics Roadshows
  • Installing S/4 HANA along with the team: At one point in time we were stuck and weren't able to move forward, then Udhaya and I worked through the weekend to unravel the mystery of the failing installation after which we were able to complete the installation
  • Getting our first break in the predictive analytics world
  • The opportunity of working with the finest minds in predictive analytics from SAP and Microsoft
  • Getting down and dirty with my old flame SAP Data Services ;)

So there, that's my personal list of events or activities that filled my first year at Auritas. It may or may not make sense to everyone. To me it has been a good year. Working with Deepak, Andy and the rest of the team has been a rewarding experience and now I look forward to the next year.

P.S. Oh! And apart from all this, I got to travel to Orlando and other parts of the US and was able to indulge in my favourite hobby: Photography. Thanks Udhaya and Sunil for driving me to all those wonderful places and thank you for those Sunday morning walks through the trails around Sanford. And thanks Andy for taking us to the Kennedy Space Center. That was awesome!
