“My Wrong Side”

“My Wrong Side”

“Snehil, I am at peace, as long as my officers are able to fathom their challenges and limitations. Beyond that whether they make a cautious effort to resolve that or not, doesn’t mystify me too much, as I have a firm faith that, a problem well understood is a problem solve." Dr. Vishwakarma, my then supervisor, told me.

?

Somehow, this philosophy has found a strong advocate in me. Over the years I have realized being conscious of your vulnerabilities, your flaws and the power to embrace your “wrong side” is the most crucial step for self enhancement. Denying the shortfalls, doesn’t change them, what does change them is acceptance.

?

As I look back at a younger version of myself, 13 years back, I see a conscious young man, taking baby steps into the fiercely competitive world, extremely cautious of carrying an image of always put together perfectly. Though this young man is now a completely transformed person, someone who seeks empowerment through embracing flaws. Like me, my imperfections have also transformed over the years, though to me, now it’s a fun circle, knowing my vulnerabilities and owning them.

?

One of my friends has questioned saying “What's new here? Everyone is familiar with these ideal things." He was right, I thought for a second and emphasized “The naivety here is that you don't have to worry about those imperfections, don’t push yourself hard to improve, don’t lose your sleep over it, just keep identifying, accept and your mind and consciousness will routinely help you to overcome those flaws."

?

?To Conclude, your wrong side is as much a part of the person you are as your other perfect half. Rather in my opinion, it's the acceptance and power of our wrong side that improves us as human beings.?This can be compared to what “Rhonda Byrne said in his best seller book “The Secret” -?that thoughts can change a person's life directly and if you start thinking positive, your life will turn into the same affirmative way.

True. One of my peer person in experimental pharmacology used to say that your first experiment if fails,is a right step for learning,You then do root cause analysis at different levels and understand intricacies of experiment in much better way than if you don’t fail.

Good read my friend. It is part of mental evolution too that comes with life experiences....where one undergoes transformation and experiences self awareness. The inner voices one converses with could be any four common internal interlocutors: the faithful friend, ambivalent parent, the proud rival and the helpless child. Each voice might pop up in different situations. There's a thought provoking quote that talks about self reflection " Inner speech is your flashlight in the dark room that is your mind" – Famira Racy. But putting down these thoughts on paper is rare as you have brilliantly shared. Yes, being aware of one's "wrong side" does lead to a positive self transformation and problem solving.
