My Writing Process
A plain white document and a blinking cursor are two of the most dreadful sights.
If personified, both of them have the power to fill a writer's mind with doubts. And the truth is that we all have been there, where weaving words into beautiful sentences and paragraphs seem like an endless struggle.
Until, of course, a wave of ideas robs the empty banks of a writer’s block.
The only problem with these ideas is that most of them never agree with your thought process or fulfill the initial purpose of writing a plot or a story.
The confusion persists until the ideas are segregated into compartments of identity and used as ingredients to cook delicious stories.
As complicated as it may sound, this is how writing works for me. It begins with a series of complications and falls back into place after a rigorous process of drafting and redrafting a thousand words repeatedly.
Some may agree with the process that befits my writing approach. While others might perch on the idea, ponder over it and leave it stranded once it fails to suffice their creative peers.
Eventually, what matters is that there’s no universal rule to follow. That’s how creativity works. It’s acknowledged for its rule-breaking prowess because even an unfinished draft must radiate individuality. Perhaps something original enough to provoke the thoughts of a fellow reader.
More vitally, even if everything goes wrong at the onset, the chances of doing it right do not fade away. Some of the best ideas and thoughts remain hidden behind a veil. As writers, we all need to muster courage and lift the veil to realize our deepest potential.
I did the same and started scraping off rust to protect my creative peers from becoming my enemies. In fact, everything happened, in a manner, consistent with my inner self.
So, here’s my process of writing, and how I managed to combat some of my classic failures, such as fears and its beloved carnage.

4 年I feel writing is really cool when you are having your own vibe. Someday you might feel like writing 1 cr pages and on the other day, you might feel like not writing a single line. I feel every individual has his/her own kind of pace and vibe to write things.
