My Wife is My Life
In honor of National Poetry Day, why not pen a few words for YOUR love? They don't have to rhyme; just share your heart.
A house or apartment is just a place
Fancy or plain matters not
I only reside there
My wife is my life
My value is judged by her heart
Great or small, happy or sad
It depends on what she feels
My wife is my life
A home without a wife
Is only dark; it has no life
So I am grateful for her presence
My wife is my life
She cares how I am
Worries or laughs
But always tries
My wife is my life
She builds me up
Loves me for who I am
OK, usually
My wife is my life
So if I cause her pain
And to lose her smile
Guess who also loses?
My wife is my life
Therefore I must always grow
To give her hope
That she will enjoy our tomorrow, for
My wife is my life
False temptations fill the world
Their lies and offers reward me not
When all is said and done
My life is with my wife?
