My Website Design Story
After releasing my new website yesterday I wanted to show my concept for the site and the concepts for my old website.
The first image is the design I created in Figma ?for my new website and if you check my website, www.thomaswjames.co.uk , you will see this design replicated and that's due to what I learnt from past endeavours.?
Image 2 is the original concept I drew out for my website last year?for what I wanted it to look like. This idea was great but I didn't want to build my new site from this. So I took to Figma to flesh out the areas of the page adding and adapting until it was complete. Moving to Figma helped me visualise the page as a whole with all of the sections and ideas showing as they will be within the final version.

Image 3 & 4 are the designs I used to build my old website. Both of them half complete and nothing like the final outcome. After these designs were made I moved straight into Webflow and started building from the idea in my head which just made a website I wasn't proud of or ever happy with. So with my new website I took time to plan and design before even setting foot in Webflow again so I wasn't making the page up as I went along but more building the website for a concrete idea that I could adjust easier without destroying my previous work.
So after this I released that everything I make or build needs to have the same amount of planning as the projects I produce. Its easy to miss this step as a creative but without a plan it is not going to work and it never will.
