MY WARNING AND APOLOGY
After two months of observing what has occurred in the Middle East, I am breaking my silence.? I will now begin to post on the subject on my LinkedIn page.
I was reluctant to use this medium to address the subject, however, I have been appalled by how my fellow Canadians, lawyers, law students, deans and professors, non-governmental agencies, media outlets and the United Nations have responded after October 7.
To be clear, my comments relate to reactions after October 7.
My commentary on what occurred on October 7 is not required. Why ? Because words cannot describe the savagery of that day.? The video footage and the photographs barely scratch the surface of what took place.? An infinite number of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will suffer intergenerational trauma from what Hamas did that day.
As for my warning and apology, I understand if some of my LinkedIn followers decide to unfollow me.? That is fine with me.

I believe it is my duty to use my position to inform, enlighten and educate those who choose to listen to me.
I will continue to use this medium to educate my followers on divorce and family law. But I will also begin posting my observations and thoughts regarding Israel, the Jewish people, the Palestinian people and children of all religions, nationalities and ethnicities. If by doing so I am able to lower the temperature, reduce the conflict, replace the misinformation and disinformation with truth, then I believe that my input will be helpful.

1 年Agree. The silence is deafening, the reaction or lack of it is incomprehensible and terrorism (really a gross understatement here) can’t be defended or justified. Ever.

1 年Go for it Steve ! We must use all platforms we can to speak about the atrocities that continue to happen ! Seems like the Palestinian and worse , the Hamas sympathizers are allowed to deface , destroy and physically harm innocent people that are just going about their lives .. all with impunity !’ Hate speech is being allowed ! People in high positions .. top colleges and universities have shown themselves to be disgusting entities and I can only hope they will get theirs !! Also if any choose to unfollow you they were not worth your time and .. karma is a bitch ! The good people are with you !!!!
