My visit to St Clements Hill Primary Academy
On Friday, I visited the new Primary Academy in the NR3 area, St Clements Hill Primary Academy. It was a pleasure to meet Executive Headteacher, Glenn Russell for a tour of the school site and to discuss ways to work with the Academy for the benefit of the local area.
St Clements has facilities including a home economics and science lab, 14 classrooms (each with capacity for 30 children) with space for interactive whiteboards and “learning walls”, a central library and a large hall which can be split to accommodate clubs and diners at lunchtimes.
It’s great that we have a new school opening in an area of need. We need more good school places and I hope this will help Norwich education continue to improve, to the benefit of young people and their families. This building also brings excellent new community facilities which I’d encourage local people and organisations to make use of.
