My View from a Balcony

I shall pass through

this world but once

Any good therefore

that I can do or any

kindness that I can

show to any human being

Let me not defer or

neglect it for

I shall not pass this way

again.

My trip to Positano, Italy, and this magnificent view from my balcony was a once-in-a lifetime experience that I shall never forget.

(P. S. The one item I left with the housekeeper, who so diligently made my room for 10 days, was a handmade necklace of garnet beads that I took off of my neck and put on hers. It was almost Christmas 2015, and she could only speak Italian, which made the friendship all the more sweeter.)
