My Very First "Unicorn-In-The-Making!"

On June 2nd, 2019, an old friend reached out to me here on Linkedin as a result of one of my blogs regarding my funding company (www.BurnsFunding.com). By June 26th, I had entered into the Group Home business with this gentleman and had my first doctor as an investor (hence the term DocVestor) in the very first property acquisition and rehab... which we are currently preparing to enter into service.

July and August were a whirlwind of activity, with a team assembled, protocols put into place and a total of 7 residential homes under contract or being rehab'd in this Group Home venture. We put together a DocVestor Program, and began bringing in medical professionals who are seeking a passive return from both the real estate and operational aspects of the Group Home business. As August winds down we have 4 doctors fully committed, with at least a dozen more DocVestors in various stages of negotiations with us.

Some great Press has generated quite a bit of interest in our fledgling business with a 42,000 member group "Physician/Investors" in talks with us as well as indications of interest from several Family Offices and one Hedge Fund.

This marks 44 years of active entrepreneurship for me (since age 19) with likely well over 150 start-ups by now. As the saying goes "I've seen it all"...however I really do believe I caught the wave with this Group Home business and will have my very first "Unicorn!"
