My version of success on how I started my business

I normally don't write anything that comes from the heart. And this one is going to be an uzi! I love to teach and research relevant facts on how I can help people start their business. I especially love to encourage other entrepreneurs in finding the right strategies to help them succeed.

However, here is the TRUE story of how I was able to start my business.

It's a passion so it's free

YES! I can't stress this enough but when you start any business your time does not have a dollar sign. I was working diligently day and night for about 80 hours a day creating my websites.

I became a member of this platform which I continue to use called the Wealthy Affiliate. I absolutely love this platform. If you have been following me or reading my post then you know I talk about Wealthy Affiliate all the time.

Disconnect yourself from negative people

Part of my business journey is connecting with the right people. Sadly I had to disconnect myself from even my own family because they weren't supportive in my decisions. I was convinced they didn't take me seriously when my sister called me at 10 pm asking me to create a resume for her.

I ended up creating something for her but it definitely wasn't any effort put into it. I mean it takes me a minimum of 3 days to create a resume for anyone.

I never went out

Sad I know but I lived a bit of a boring life for 6 months. I didn't go out I didn't mingle with friends. My life was all about work and gym but I was ok with that. I knew that I had to put myself on a tight schedule if I wanted to succeed or at least accomplish some of my goals.

Let me reiterate this statement. I was once a very closed person, someone that didn't want to talk to anyone or do things with anyone.

I was a loner! I quickly found that if I wanted to be succesfull that I had to mingle and network with strangers. I had to come out of my shell.

I created hourly goals and put my phone away

Yes, I know hourly goals may be insane but it actually works for me. Also, my phone is a huge distraction so I have to put that away too. Seriously put it down! don't answer phone calls, emails, Facebook messages or any type of distraction. Trust me you will thank me later.
