When I think about how my life was 14 months ago, I was overscheduled and disconnected from the people and things that mattered in my life. I think that COVID has caused a shift in my values and shined a light on where my priorities should be. I am grateful for that blessing.
On Saturday night I hosted a game night with 10 of my dearest friends. We sat around this table together and played games, ate pizza, and drank way too much red wine. At one moment in the night, I just paused to glance around the table at all of their beautiful smiles and got present to just how blessed and filled up I was to have them there and in my life. We have not had an easy 14 months but together we have all propped each other up when we needed it the most. I love them so much and I am present to the power of friendship. Covid has taught me to appreciate the little things in my life like a smile, a warm hug, and friendships.
3 Things that I will be doing thanks to COVID
1 – Generously Smiling at People Everywhere!
2 – Frequently filling all the seats around my dining room table.
3 - Hosting nights of laughter and good wine with those I love.
