My unified theory for a brighter future

My unified theory for a brighter future

Ultimately, while I hate to admit defeat, sometimes in life we all need to accept our limitations, and so I have come to realise, I may need to scale down my life expectations considerably. I have for a long time during a process of self-education from my teens (as I didn’t get one at school), had a love of astronomy, maths, physics, classical mechanics, and quantum theory, particularly the idea of a Unified Theory of Everything.

Just in case you are not all quite as boring as me … A theory of everything (TOE) is a hypothetical framework explaining all known physical phenomena in the universe. Researchers have searched for such a model ever since the development of quantum mechanics and Albert Einstein's?theory of relativity?in the early 20th century.?Each of these pillars of modern physics describes its respective area of inquiry, the very smallest and the most massive things in the cosmos, with astounding accuracy, but both?quantum mechanics?and relativity fail when applied to each other's subject matter. So far, an overarching theory of everything has eluded scientists, and some believe the ultimate goal is unrealistic.?

So, just as the TOE has eluded the greatest minds of the scientific community for all of time, I now have to accept that I may not be the one person able to answer TOE (goodbye Noble Prize for Dan Brown) and scale down my expectations in life to a unifying theory of a different kind, a theory focused on just one planet, the one which we live. Shame really, I hate downsizing.

That being the case, the following is my overarching vision for the future, a snapshot of the plan for global change which I hope you will take a look at to see if you would all like to have a crack at it with me, and the wonderful people of Positive Transformation who I am so proud to work with every day.

This has been on my mind and in development for some time while building PTI with amazing people, it is all well along the road to implementation and I am working with a group of very influential individuals and organisations who can make this happen, so it is now far from being a pipe dream.

I want my life to be a force for good and for sustainable positive change, it is incredibly important to the future success of PTI and the wider vision for a better future to work in collaboration with you, and other likeminded people to make this happen. When successful I will be pleased to say, that the future isn’t what it used to be ??

My Personal Challenge

I have always loved a challenge and the more I am laughed at, told it can’t be done or the less I am understood, the more I am driven to prove that nothing is impossible, improbable maybe but impossible certainly NOT. The challenges I set myself in life are as follows.

1.??????Change the world and leave it a better place than I found it

2.??????Travel the world, seek out adventure and positively impact the lives of 1 billion people

3.??????Life is short, enjoy it, take advice but go my own way, I will live life only once!

My ultimate challenge is to make these three points a unifying reality in a Practical, Measurable, and Accountable way, this is as described below.

  • Create a new meritocratic reality for changing society through enabling a virtual global alliance acting for social change, accelerated opportunity creation, and inclusion.
  • The alliance must be underpinned by internationally recognised leaders in global businesses, incorporating third sector and government to generate sustainable revenues for social impact programmes, UK Plc, and the wider global society.
  • In addition, every business in the alliance must recognise measurable commercial value, strengthened brand reputation, provide measurable benefits for purpose-driven employee engagement, reduce existing CSR overhead, and widen the impact of their own social impact programmes through cross-organisational collaboration.
  • This project must deliver to all future generations regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation or any unfair bias, providing a sustainable network of opportunity resources and funding globally, acting only in the interests of a meritocratic and fair global society.
  • Importantly, everyone must have a load of fun working with nice people that you meet along the way and build something that changes the world with those you most trust and admire.

How do you eat an elephant?

Step one – Create a global vehicle initially in the UK acting for social good and opportunity creation for all – https://www.positivetransformation.org (PTI) PTI is all about creating opportunity for you, commercial value for your organisation and widening social impact in society. In doing so, together with PTI we will facilitate far better communication and collaboration with no boundaries across business, the state and third sector, while also widening social impact and creating measurable business value.

To be clear, this is not about unsustainable charitable handouts, and you don’t need to increase your CSR budget or find any other sources of funding, everyone can benefit from a simple new approach to ‘Doing Good is Good Business’ simply by changing perspective and thinking differently. PTI brings a new perspective that costs you nothing more financially and will help create opportunities for everyone.

The Positive Transformation Initiative (PTI) is ultimately a network of established TRUSTED networks acting for positive societal change, real relationships with real people, and its purpose is to help everyone find, create, resource and fund opportunities.?

Step Two – Create a separate commercial engine that can demonstrate value to organisations, this will create a marketplace and support PTI. This is now set up and in development. The Positive Innovation Company (PIC) Picturing a brighter positive future for a changing global society. Enabling Digitally Safe, Secure, and Collaborative Human Connection

Step Three – Create a sustainable investment fund for all future generations regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, religion, sexual orientation or any unfair bias, providing a sustainable network of opportunity resources and funding globally, acting only in the interests of a meritocratic global society. This will be The Positive Development Trust. Example for clarity - The Wellcome Trust

How do you eat an elephant – one bite at a time, or in this case three bite-size chunks.

With you all the way, Dan! So much more we can do with existing CSR support if that is done efficiently and is well focused.

you might not get the Nobel in Physics, but the one for Peace is still a real possibility...

It’s definitely easier to eat an elephant when it’s broken down into chunks. Love the visuals in this Dan. You are an achiever, a realist and a believer, keep making things happen Dan, PTI is a true success just like you. X
