My trip to Phuket Island and Hong Kong - Part 4: Phi Phi Islands

My trip to Phuket Island and Hong Kong - Part 4: Phi Phi Islands

I needed to take a sizable boat that journeyed for about one and a half hours from the pier to the Phi Phi Islands, the duration depending on the size of the wind and waves. The majority of passengers on the large boat were non-Asians, and the luggage placed at the bow belonged to them. Non-Asian tourists visiting Phuket were predominantly backpackers, with a significant number hailing from Northern Europe. The allure might be the long winters and limited sunshine in their home countries, which can make them more susceptible to depression.

The big boat to Phi Phi Islands

The best seat on a big boat was the middle seat. The waves on the sea were relatively big, the wind was also strong, and there were even wind and rain together. Even this kind of big ship would shake quite badly while moving. People who were prone to seasickness could lie on the three-seater seat, but most people liked to sit by the window.

The night before we came to Phi Phi Islands, the local tour guide hoped that tourists would pay more to take a speedboat there, but we did not agree to him. We did homework before, knowing that speedboats were prone to seasickness. There was a half-hour storm during shipping that day. Even sitting on the big boat, some tourists could not bear the violent shaking and groaned in pain.?

Not to mention the shaking of the speedboat, we saw that the speedboat near the big boat was swaying in the wind and rain and might capsize at any time. We were fortunate that we made the correct decision. When traveling outside, safety was the priority. Local tour guides often did not put safety first instead of making money, so you need to have your judgment.

Because the Thai tour guide didn't earn extra money, he was in a bad mood, so he disappeared after he got on the island. The team leader who came from Beijing and we had no choice but to find the hotel on the hillside with our luggage. Phi Phi Natural Resort was the farthest one from the pier on Phi Phi Islands, and it should take more than 20 minutes to walk there.

I led the group to the hotel.
The hotel rooms were independent small houses.
Swimming pool in the hotel

The hotel had an exclusive beach with very few people. Most places on the beach of Phi Phi Islands were extremely crowded. Layers of people gather there to watch the sea and take pictures. This was related to their itinerary. The general itinerary was to go to Phi Phi Islands at noon and went back at 4 p.m., so, they would be concentrated somewhere.

The crabs I caught on the beach.

If you didn't want to play in the hotel, you could participate in local tourism projects, such as driving a motorboat, diving, etc.

The sea water of Phi Phi Islands was more beautiful than that of Phuket Island. There were a lot of foreign tourists, just liked a small United Nations. Although the conditions on the island were simple, they were still petty bourgeoisie. The DISCO that resounds on the beach at night was exciting. I was in Phi Phi Islands had a great time.

To be continued.
