My Top 6 lessons from the pandemic

Transforming lives through education ?? Building one of India's largest philanthropic schools
Covid-19 has made us all introspect about our future and given us new perspectives on life. Above all the shades of fear, anxiety, apprehension that the tragedy has given all of us, it definitely has served as a wake-up call. Now that everything is seeming normal, here are my top 6 takeaways from the pandemic.
??1. Compassion
?The pandemic has sparked an outpouring of compassion and empathy from individuals around the globe. We've seen humanity's solidarity manifest itself in numerous acts of authentic heroism and philanthropy toward one another. It has compelled most of us to put our best efforts toward encouraging and assisting one another, giving our lives substantial and inspirational purpose. This is the realization we must carry along into the post-Covid-19 era. The time has come to utilize this newfound generosity in ourselves rather than push it to the sidelines.
?2. Wellbeing of nature
?If there's one thing we've all learned from the pandemic, it's that the wellbeing of the earth determines the longevity of our own lives. The pandemic should serve as a wake-up signal for us to see the destruction we're inflicting on the planet we call home, to treat it with the reverence it deserves, and to change our ways to a more sustainable one. As a result, the only solution to avoid subsequent pandemics is to be as conscious of our daily choices as possible since we know what has to be done in principle; the time has come to put it into practice.
?3. Purpose
?Covid-19 has truly put into perspective how fleeting and out of control our lives are, emphasizing how important it is to do things we genuinely enjoy and how awful it is to waste the life we have in a never-ending cycle of materialistic gain and fleeting pleasure. The pandemic has been a necessary evil that has taught us the value of spending each moment of every day being appreciative of the time we have and using that opportunity to achieve our purpose and genuine desires. It has taught us the value of freedom, which not everyone has the opportunity to experience and which, if we do, we ought to find it in our hearts to ensure for those who don't.
?4. Patience
?Patience is a virtue, especially in this time of despair and uncertainty. The pandemic has time and time again tested our patience, kept us at the edge of our seats fearing the next segment of unpleasant news, but it has also taught us to move past our need to know everything and just go with the flow. It has taught us that being diligent and attentive to our actions, as well as letting the crisis run its course can benefit our mental health in ways we may not realize at the time.

?5. Education for all
?The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted inadequacies in established educational systems, emphasizing the necessity for new educational programs and regulations right away. Many children around the country have profited from the instant shift to virtual schools, but individuals who live in severe poverty or in regions with limited technical means have indeed felt a disadvantage. As a result of the pandemic, we now recognize the significance of properly planning future educational undertakings to ensure that no student is left behind.
?6. Resilience
?The pandemic has made us re-evaluate the significance of resilience. The need for developing resilience has grown more evident than ever in times of uncertainty, loss, and global conflicts. The most difficult obstacle has been returning to normalcy; however, this tragedy has provided us with an opportunity to strengthen our resilience and shape our mindsets in such a way that we can look for the brighter side of the situations and recover from similar adversities in the future.
?7. Trust and preparedness
?To recover, we must recognize that confidence between people and government is critical in unprecedented times. The pandemic has also shown us that we must have trust in each other and co-operate on solutions such as vaccines, which were initially dismissed and mocked by the masses but later proved to be crucial; without public trust, no cures can be achieved, and this trust can be attained by the government through building trust in ordinary times to guarantee the same in times of crises. Not only does trust help us get through difficult times but being mentally prepared for them makes it much easier to get through them and find the light at the end of the tunnel. As scientists warn for future Covid -19 waves we should be prepared.
