I love the opportunity that Talent Management has afforded me to support our tech leaders and HC team members in serving our tech community.
With the post-covid talent market, the battle to retain and secure tech, data and analytics talent has increased so I always find it useful to stay on top of thought leadership in the market and I wanted to share my top influencers within the talent management discipline with you.
So in no particular order, I would recommend that any talent manager check out the work and Linked-In pages of the following pace-setters:
Josh literally wrote the book on Talent Management and the theory, best practices and approaches that underpin the practice. So much so that he has built the Josh Bersin academy around the broader Human Capital functionality and helps the global HC community get certified in leading practices.
Momentum Metropolitan's very own previous interim CHRO and current HC thought leader for AI HR Academy has also been a source of key insights on future centric and cutting edge talent management approaches, capacity and workforce planning etc.
I first stumbled onto Brendan's fascinating approaches to talent acquisition and talent practices through his "Talent on Tap" Youtube channel and videos during his time at LinkedIn.
He is also doing some interesting stuff at Y-combinator which has a history of launching startups that have defined our modern world from Airbnb, DoorDash, Stripe and Gitlab.

A prolific podcaster on his channel upstartHR.com on all things HR Tech, Talent acquisition and talent in general Ben has been a constant source of insights and innovative approaches.
He also launched the HR Tech Awards in the states that highlight innovation in this space.
The last but not least influencer is actually OfferZen under the leadership of Malan and Phillip Joubert and their team who really have established themselves as a fixture in the talent space for dev and software engineering talent.
OfferZen is a recruitment platform that gets companies to apply to tech talent currently on the market for their next job as well as thought leaders on talent practices that influence the dev and software engineering community.
Above that, they also have lots of swag in their style and the highly sought after t-shirts they design.
So there you have it. These are some people that I keep tabs on for talent management.
