My top 3 Copilot items on the roadmap

It's mid-October, one month until Microsoft Ignite and the roadmap is packed with great stuff.

So welcome back to Copilot Your Day, your weekly LinkedIn newsletter about Copilot. This week we'll be looking at what's coming in the future to help us get even better at our daily work with Copilot ??.

As you probably know, 微软 listens to customer feedback quite extensively and there is a public roadmap. I know that there are still some features missing that would help so many people.

So I looked at the current Copilot roadmap and picked my top 3 features ?? What are yours?

#0 Autonomous Agents

#1 Everything around Copilot Lab

Wow, it looks like Copilot Lab is going to get a real boost in the coming months. There are a lot of things on the roadmap around Copilot Lab. To be honest, right now Copilot Lab is helpful as a starter, but I do not use it daily or even weekly. But these features will definitely add value to Copilot Lab.

Schedule Prompt

I guess this was already in my top 3 last time I did this, but I think this could be a really transformative feature. Let's say you can set your prompt every day for the time you start work. You get a kind of personal work-related 'newspaper' right on your screen. You can formulate the perfect prompt for you and receive the output day after day. For example, as a kick start to a new day or at the end of the day for an outlook or recap.

Share a prompt in Teams team and to a coworker

What I've noticed in my project is that you can never overestimate the importance of social sharing within a company. It's one of the magic moments when Copilot champions share their best prompts with the community and inspire others.

And this will be even easier in the future: you can easily share prompts with a team or a colleague

?? This will be a huge advantage for companies to speed up internal sharing.

#2 Shared or delegated mailboxes

My second on the list will be for people who have to deal with multiple mailboxes, and I guess there are a loooot of people who fit that criteria ??.

Unfortunately you can't access this information through Copilot at the moment. BUT the rollout is planned for January 2025 ??.

#3 Prepare for meeting

I've spooted another super nice one and put it in my third place and the description is ??.

With so many of us in back-to-back meetings, it can be a real struggle to stay on top of pre-reads, action items, and even what each meeting is about. Copilot can identify and summarize the key points so you can show up prepared in just a few minutes. When you have an upcoming meeting, Copilot proactively shows you a "Prepare" button in your inbox which helps you quickly get context for the meeting providing a summary of the meeting and showing and summarizing relevant files leveraging the power of the Microsoft Graph. Now you have all the most important details you need and can arrive prepared and ready to engage in a productive conversation. This feature will be available in the new Outlook for Windows and web. #newoutlookforwindows
