My Token 2049 Singapore Experience

What an awesome week it was at Token 2049 Singapore! As I settle back in Manila, I can’t help but take you back to those two incredible days celebrating all things Web 3. ??

With the F1 race happening simultaneously, Singapore was buzzing with energy. But Token 2049 was undoubtedly the talk of the town. The moment I stepped into Marina Bay Sands, I knew this event would be something special.

The venue was massive—Marina Bay Sands Convention Center—and each booth was competing for attention. There was no shortage of excitement: live events, MMA fights, speaker sessions, contests, celebrity appearances, and networking opportunities were all there. The Web 3 buzz wasn’t limited to the convention center, either; the celebration spilled across the city with after-parties and exclusive gatherings. It truly felt like one of the biggest Web 3 celebrations I’ve experienced. ??

One of the standout moments for me was the keynote by my good friend Victor Tan of Trinity Pad. His talk, "Unblocking the Myth: A Bold New Path to Investing in Web 3", was insightful, shedding light on how Web 3 can be more accessible for investors. He capped off his session with a QR code for those who wanted to connect further, and it was amazing to see so many attendees eager to learn more from him!

As for the event itself, Token 2049 truly had it all. There were wall-climbing challenges, pickleball, Mario Kart racing, and even a mechanical bull for the adventurous. I couldn’t resist grabbing a few pieces of merch—definitely bringing those home for the kids as souvenirs!

The food didn’t disappoint either, with buffets set up for everyone to enjoy. DJs kept the energy high with great tunes, and the sight of mascots parading around only added to the fun. There were rooms for private events and a wide variety of exhibits, from AI to gaming to interviews. It was a full-on fiesta of innovation.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the official afterparty, which I heard was packed to the brim despite the rain toward the end. Still, from what I gathered, the energy carried on, and people danced the night away. Even though I missed it, hearing about the crowd made me appreciate the passion this community brings to every moment.

Beyond the activities and booths, Token 2049 was about the connections. I had the chance to reconnect with old faces and meet some new ones. It was the perfect opportunity to forge new friendships and collaborations that I’m excited to explore in the future. ??

All in all, Token 2049 wasn’t just another event—it was a true celebration of Web 3’s future. I left feeling more inspired than ever, with new ideas and partnerships on the horizon.
