My Three Favorite Restaurants In Salt Lake City

This year has been a tough one, there’s no getting around it. No matter what your views are on coronavirus, I think we can all agree that it has thrown a wrench into 2020. Nobody expected this to happen.

That said, this COVID-19 craziness can’t last forever. Life will go back to normal—hopefully sooner rather than later—and when it does, we need to celebrate.

For me, that will most certainly involve taking my family out to eat at our favorite restaurants. And with so many tasty options in Salt Lake City, the tricky part will be choosing which one to eat at first. 

If you love food and are looking for a place to celebrate once all this is over, you can’t go wrong with one of these three picks.

Current Fish & Oyster

If you’re craving seafood, Current Fish & Oyster will not disappoint. Current’s menu offers many healthy options using fresh ingredients sourced from all over the U.S. 

I try a different dish every time I visit—from ceviche to smoked salmon to octopus—and I’m always blown away by the taste, quality, and service.

And whatever you do, do not skip dessert. Their Yuzu Posset easily ranks on my all-time favorite desserts list.

HSL

HSL is my go-to restaurant for American cuisine. With gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options, HSL is also my top choice when I’m with others with dietary restrictions.

In addition to their delicious food, one thing that really sets HSL apart is their service. Whenever I go, I always feel pampered. The servers know exactly how much attention to give you to make you feel special. 

It’s important to note that the menu at HSL changes on a regular basis. So before making your reservation, check out the menu online so you’ll know what to expect. 

Tradition

I love Tradition restaurant because whenever I eat there, it brings me back to the delicious home-cooked family meals I ate as a boy. Meatloaf, grits, sweet potatoes…it makes my mouth water just thinking about it!

Tradition is located right in front of Liberty Park and is open for brunch, dinner, and drinks.
