My thoughts on President Biden's continued candidature for the Democratic Party

Although I have been preoccupied with other matter this year, I have been hearing a cacophony of democratic voices urging President Biden to step aside for another equally or more viable candidate against Drumpf. The keyword is equally or more viable candidate because the stakes couldn't be any higher in this election.
I understand the President believes he can win against Drumpf-Vance, and I do too. My mom is Joe Bide's biggest fan too. For me the question of whether the President is best advised to reconsider at this time does not hinge on whether he can win against Drumpf because anyone who speaks in complete and coherent sentences can win against the former president, rather, it is whether President Biden wants to or can withstand the rigors of the campaign, and upon winning, whether he can effectively finish the good work he has been doing for the country. For the rigors of the campaign, I encourage President Biden to consider his disenchanted colleagues, allies in industry, and his campaign workers' enthusiasm and zeal to get him re-elected. The rigors of a national campaign are generally irrigated by those Americans who will forego personal interest to get you elected or re-elected, and they are under no obligation to undertake the sacrifice when there is so much else at stake. And for whether President Biden can effectively finish the good work and more upon re-election, I encourage him to consider that he will need the same selfless individuals who helped to get him re-elected, who will be needed to strengthen him through his future policy propositions.
So either way one looks at the presidency, your great legacy is best achieved via the team of colleagues who sacrifice with you. There is no doubt a President Biden is far superior and preferable to a President Drumpf, even with both Biden's hands tied behind his back, but both the demographics and weighty considerations of our country are evolving daily, much less other international events around us. Ukraine's sovereignty comes to mind immediately.
I also encourage President Biden to reconsider his candidature for this upcoming election. And I share that knowing full well that President Biden can win against Drumpf. There's no contest in that.

I join the amicus chorus of great Americans to thank and commend President Joe Biden for his tremendously selfless decision to pass the baton of leadership of the greatest nation on earth to his VP Kamala Harris. This singular decision will go down in history as the greatest decision ever made by a sitting president. I encourage all of us to join hands with President Biden to complement his landmark decision with the most awesome defeat of a presidential contender in Trump for centuries prior and for all time.

4 个月A longtime District Attorney friend asked whom I may suggest as alternative candidate for a Biden second term. I could not respond definitively because that's way above my No-Pay grade. However, I would propose the following in no particular order of urgency: VP Harris-First Lady Biden A successful Democratic Governor with a military or law enforcement background-VP Harris VP Harris-A successful Democratic Senator with a military or law enforcement background In the decade following our Global Decade of Renewal (2015-25), a miltary/law enforcement background will be necessary to clean up the debris, and to help our UN and Nato to reformulate the democratic order of our world. All the world's governments are democratic governments at various stages of democratic health and only President Xi has attained President-for-Life status. It will be useful for the US to have an ally with President Xi in the international arena to accrue greater salvage value for the UN.
