MY THOUGHTS ON JOE BIDEN

As I discussed in an earlier article, I am merely a senior citizen who has been an observer of American politics for more than five decades. While I was a broadcast journalist I had a private, one-on-one lunch with a future president, and I met with governors and senators, but none of that makes me any more qualified to comment than any other American citizen. However, because I am an American citizen, I am uniquely qualified to comment. So here goes . . .

Joe Biden's policies have been a train wreck barreling down the tracks, and it's heading America into a massive bead-on collision with a not-so-friendly future if we don't make a course correction soon.

Our southern border is wide open, with some 10 to 18 million illegal aliens having entered since he took office, many of whom have raped and murdered American women. His open border has also allowed literally tons of Fentanyl to find its way into American cities, killing tens of thousands of our young men and women.

Our economy is now sinking in the quicksand of inflation, and many Americans are having trouble feeding their families, or putting gas in their cars so they can get to work. Yes, Joe Biden has been a disaster since Day One.

But, there is another side of Biden we need to consider. Joe Biden is not well, and that's not something that should ever be subject to ridicule or mockery. It is quite possible that if he is re-elected he will not survive the next four years in office, and his mental decline is staring us in the face every day.

I reiterate -- Joe Biden is not well. He is a human being, and I wish him no ill will. I see him in decline and it is my hope that he will be able to retire and spend the remainder of his days surrounded by family and friends who can see to his needs as his condition deteriorates.

I hope I am not the only American who has decided to pray for Joe Biden. As a follower of Jesus, I am aware of the consequences for anyone who is not a follower of Christ. Others will certainly express outrage over my comment, nevertheless, it is for that very reason that I pray for him.

It is my hope and prayer that every American will find hope in the same Savior that I know and love because I am aware of the consequences for those who do not have that hope. It was Jesus who said, "You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free" (see John 8:32).

He also told the thief on the cross, who merely said to him, "Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom," and Jesus replied, "Truly I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise" (see Luke 42-43 NKJV).

I do not want anyone, not even Joe Biden, to fail to enter paradise, because the alternative is unthinkable. Just my humble opinion, Ken S.
