[ My Thoughts ] Feeling Guilty That People Always Want More From You

A few months back, Sunder and I argued over my unprecedented nature of decision making.

And we talked and discussed for many hours, even though I don’t recall if we ever come to any conclusion, but we did understand each other better.

On another occasion, one friend asked me to explain my actions, and I politely said ‘No, as I don’t think you’ll understand at this point’.

It’s human nature to expect more from others, especially from the closed ones and people who are doing well in their life.

Since childhood people had false expectations from me, I think that’s why I was frustrated and angry all time.

In other words, I grew up confused and without a whole lot of sense of self-worth.

Unsupportive persons in your life could be friends, family, or partner.

It could be that they don’t know what you’re really after or couldn’t see what you’re capable of doing. Don’t be discouraged.

My life experience are different from yours; It took me a lot of time to convert all those negative thoughts to positive.

People from the past who never supported my thoughts/goals are now praising me for the skills and knowledge I acquired along the way.

I always believe practical thinking is a valuable skill that has helped me to solve complex problems in my life and career.

As the proverb goes, ‘The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence’.

In today’s life, people often seek emotional support from others when they agonize, but they caught up in fear of expectations, and dejections ended up getting more anxious.

The main problem is that changing external factors will hardly change the issues you are facing from within.

It is foolish to compare relationships, places, or objects. Everything is unique in its way, and nothing and nobody is perfect.

Everything has its bad things just as much as everything has its uniqueness that made it special, to begin with.

We are unique and special in our ways. One can never replace or fill other’s positions.

Not everyone possesses everything, nor one can do everything in this world.

Your neighbor’s grass may seem as green as it can be, but only when you get close you realize your piece of grass wasn’t all that bad, to begin with…

Make sure you are enjoying your journey.

Achieving all your goals is rather pointless if you aren’t even having any fun along the way.

Never sacrifice your relationships or your health. It’s not worth it!
