My Tata Tales: A Dream Fulfilled, a Chapter Closed

My Tata Tales: A Dream Fulfilled, a Chapter Closed

"Like everyone in the nation, i too have my own Tata tale to share."

My journey with Tata has now reached a point where the dream of meeting Tata Saheb has come to an end. It all began over a decade ago when my brother Anand joined Tata Motors. The story moved forward in 2021 when I received a call from Tata HR while I was on a market visit with Xiaomi’s MD, Mr. M Muralidharan, in Nagpur. What an amazing moment it was to hear about the opportunity to continue my career with the Tata Group! I didn’t even think about negotiating the package—I just said yes, as it truly felt like a dream come true.

But today, as I stood there, seeing our hero resting and not being able to greet us, as I had always hoped, it felt like the end of a long-held dream.

Working under such a visionary isn’t just about earning a living—it’s about living life with meaning. It’s about improving a little every day, learning new things, and doing everything with more care and passion. Life has its ups and downs, and we aren’t machines, so we should enjoy every moment and give our best in whatever we do. Life is more than numbers; it’s full of experiences, both good and challenging, that help us grow.

The legacy of Tata is all about thinking big and doing big. While others may quarrel over small matters or pieces of land, his life teaches us to rise above, take everyone along, and never fear struggle. "?????? ??, ?? ???? ??, ?????? ????, ?? ???? ????? ???? ??? ????? ??????" If there’s struggle, there’s life. Once the struggle ends, there is only peace. So, embrace the ups and downs—that’s the message of Tata Saheb’s life.

Another important lesson to share is how the character of the person at the top influences everyone down to the front line. Across all Tata Group companies, the leadership stands out for its humility, honesty, compassion and commitment to equal opportunity. This is something truly unique to Tata and is rarely seen in other companies. It’s a difference I’ve personally experienced in my career, and one that makes Tata a place where everyone can grow.

Here are a few photos my colleagues and I took today, just wanting to live a little more of those Tata moments at the NCPA lawn, Nariman Point, near Tata Theatre, as I paid my last tribute to Tata Saheb

My Last respect to Legend.

Bharat Ratna for Tata saheb.
