My take on the place of AI: A guide to Utopia?

So,

I’ve been quite on this, for the most part, since I’m no expert, and I’m far from it, on this topic. But I’d thought I might as well weigh in as to the potential of AI, as I see it. ?As countless people play with the AI tools that we have at our disposal, using it to cheat, I mean, simplify their workflow, the question isn’t which industries will be overhauled by this technology, but how it will change everyone’s day to day. As the phone and every creation changed our habits, AI stands in stark comparison, to these tools and technologies, as AI can think for itself, and it is at our command. Most of us don’t know how it works, and most of us don’t care. But despite Science fiction warnings, I anticipate a split in our society to those who treat AI as just another tool, those who respect its power, and those who choose to abstain from it’s use. ?I’m reminded of an analogy. Do you know how your light switch works? Or do you just want the result?

Despite all the controversy, let me paint for you a picture, a picture of our world and global society that AI can serve a key role in building.

The world is at peace, yes, global peace, lets let that sink in for a second. The reason? Well, we as humans are united against the AI faction, and we spend all of our energy maintaining this global order.

The internet is no longer bottle necked by a few mega corporations, and it is now easier to find exactly what you need and are looking for. For every case, and is Unbiased by capitalistic concerns. It’s also now easier to connect with an find likeminded people for whatever your need is, be it friendship, romantic, hiring, networking, etc. etc. etc. ?On an organizational level, we’re now able to collaborate with each other, and find any specific organization we need, such as a company, or nonprofit, that serves any and every niche.

The AIs mediates all of our connections, and grant us access to immediate unbiased information.

The governments of the world institute AIs for every key department, running, administrating and mediating connections.

There are multiple AIs that are specifically tasked with making sure all humans, no matter of station, ability, background, location etc. etc. have jobs, that fit their needs, personalities, income level and any other intangible qualities they seek in a job or career. Instead of the dystopic view of this, where humans are forced into a job, the AIs weigh all psychographics and input from every individual, and find a job and career that they will flourish in, and that match a company/ organization’s needs.

With employment at near 100%, humans are able to do what they want with their time, and for those jobs humans don’t want to do, we have robots guided by AI, overseen by humans, with mass market oversight and deployment.

Work is said to be the main struggle, stressor, and contributor to joy for all humans, with that taken care of. Humans would be able to do meaningful work, on their terms, when they choose, in sync with a company’s needs. ?With this all mediated by the AIs of Department of Labor. ?

With meaningful stable profitable work for all, not just the elite, class barriers will erode, and we will establish a true global meritocratic economy and society. ?

The Metaverse will pervade every corner of our lives, no longer bottlenecked and controlled by the few, allowing for true online “town squares”, and true digital relist ate. ??

A vast % of our working economy will continue and shift to that of “The developer”, meaning we will train and educate people to develop more and more digital assets, which will be able to be 3D printed if needed. Allowing for our imaginations and realities to be digitized and made into physicality.

Educational fields will be forced and encouraged to collaborate even more, and there will be a new system of education and “schooling”, created, where people of different disciplines are brought in for the express purpose of collaboration, being a global “community of practice”, building online and physical infrastructure that will connect people even more. There will be new and old hubs of information, located in every community. Libraries and schools will mix, and be known as what I’ll just call “Archives”, connecting age-appropriate students. These will act as hubs of learning, in every community, and will allow for the continuous study and training of students. All mediated by the department of education’s AIs.

An entire redesign of our local, national and global infrastructure will take place, mediated by the US department of housing an urban development’s AIs. ??

Privacy and civil rights will become even more of a concern, as laws struggle to keep up with the pace of advancement. Each human individual will be assigned Identification on a physical and digital level that will grant access to the internet and society. Identity theft and all other forms of duplicity will carry the highest punishments possible, where imposters will be shot. Crimes will be weighed on by AI judges created by the Department of Justice.

A mass clean up of immigration around the world will be done, as each country would want the best of the best people in their own country. Giving them the rights of a “Citizen”. ?
