My Tableau Story + Helpful Links to Tutorials

When I first started using Tableau (in the beginning of 2015) I didn’t have much guidance; other than Google + YouTube. For the most part, I’ve had to figure things out on my own as I went along with my new project. The majority of my learning took place when a business leader had a request, a need for a dashboard by a certain date and time. The dashboard requests that came my way were usually not intuitive and required the use of unstructured/ messy data. Nothing felt better than to figure out the little nuances that I needed to adjust in my dashboards in order to make things work.

I feel that Tableau has become even more popular now; drawing people in with its quick and pretty dashboards that can be built by anyone within minutes! I thought it would be helpful to share some tutorial videos on how to get started with Tableau and other tips that I learned in the last few years.
