My Sunday Broadcast - reviewing tomorrow events at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM.

Tomorrow is another Monday - September 7, 2020 - and it is another time out with Sadiq & The Guru at Lagos Talks 91.3 FM, when review of topical issues shall come under the hammer of Your Sincerely, live. Our time starts from 0930 hours and ends by 1100 hours exactly. In between this One and Half hours, much shall be brought to the public domain with scintillating precision. We shall reveal so much about Nigeria; a country on retrogressive decline, a place that looks scientifically programmed for disastrous endeavours. Nigeria has become a zone, where the dead left no one to bury them. That’s the sad story of a beautiful country that was!

Let’s examine some teasers.

Do you know that the President of the Nigerian 9th Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawal, is a leader in many ways? For avoidance of doubt, and about the quality of his leadership in a multi-dimensional way, he leads Nine other Senators in the Red Chamber that have not presented Bill to their credit. Senator Ahmad Lawal has not been able to present, not even one single Bill, since the life of this 9th Senate commenced. He remains a Presido nevertheless.

Don’t get me wrong please because l am not saying that the Constitution mandates every of the 109 Senators to present a Bill to the floor of the House, but then . . .!

“NDDC:l never accused lawmakers of collecting N20 million”. That was Cairo Ojougboh, the Acting Executive Director of the NDDC, denying that he never said so. What is happening between this NDDC Interim Management Committee; under the grip leadership of Senator Godswill Akpabio, and the Nigerian National Assembly? A few days ago, the Executive Director made public, a very serious allegation - to wit: that Senators collected N20 million each, while their counterparts in the House of Representatives collected N15 million each, as palliatives for Covid-19 Pandemic. Why is the NDDC always finding it convenient in “lying” against the National Assembly with such unrestrained impunity? Or could it be that there is water under oil? The Nigerian People started suspecting already that there is more than meet the eyes in the “truth/lying” relationship between these two organizations. Let’s discuss the matter tomorrow.

“Water Control Bill: Don’t license dictatorship”, Nigeria Labour Congress warms National Assembly, while Senator Gabriel Suswam; former Governor of Benue State, says “Water Resources Bill dead on arrival”. There must be something cynic about this Water Resources Bill that all Nigerians ought to know about. President Buhari is playing planks somewhere along the line. Was this not the same Bill that he introduced to the 8th National Assembly, which the latter threw away after Public Hearing on it? Why will the president, who remains exclusively reluctant to sign the Electoral Amendment Bill; a Bill meant to remove Nigeria from the arena of analogue and place it in a digital age in matters of electioneering; be rushing with uncontrolled enthusiasm in returning the the Water Resources Bill to this National Assembly? Is it because he has installed his stooges there, in places of leadership? We are looking to see how it will end but let’s have a taste of it tomorrow.

The “Old” Nigeria Bar Association miscalculated by inviting El-Rufai; Governor of Kaduna State, to its ceremony and within twinkle of the eye disinvited him. That unwise coordination has now created a “New” Nigeria Bar Association, and “over 5,000 lawyers have registered with the New NBA”, so says the Convener. Let us not take it as laughing matter because it is reminding me now of the People Democratic Party and the New People Democratic Party that emerged at a time. PDP never remained same since then. May God not nourish this New Nigeria Bar Association into growth at all.

For now, l am throwing a challenge to anybody that can take me to Kaduna, to meet El-Rufai “to approach the Bench” - The Guru is the Bench in this narration - because l am willing to go and beg him to dismantle this “House” that is being built with his name (he did not build it but his name did). I am serious on this request and demand.

While Primate Ayodele is saying that God told him of Nigeria breaking up because of current Petrol hike, PRNGASSAN is saying that “subsidy removal in 2020 painful than 2012”. Whichever way one looks at it, a government that increases fuel at the same time increasing cost of electricity is a killer let loose - a serial Killer on the prowl. May the same God, Primate Ayodele allegedly said told him about Nigeria’s breaking up, help us to remove wicked and atrocious government and leave Nigeria intact for future generations, so that it doesn’t become a history of “a country that was”.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity, is now telling us that the 774,000 Public works created by this government; a project that will put N60,000 into pocket of beneficiaries for three months before throwing the same people to their tents of obscurity, might now be extended or even become a permanent feature of the Buhari administration. The pertinent question is this: what is the economic benefits in continuum of this program that warrants extension of the project? Is it a wealth creating program? Or is it another way of throwing the wealth of the Nation - albeit, borrowed money from another country, into the abyss of absurdity? For this 774,000, N64bn is on its way out of the National Till, just like that.

I think these teasers are enough for a day. Join us tomorrow if you want to hear more.

Lest l forget. I am bringing two guests to the studio tomorrow for the usual thing - decoding the coded naughty issues. But l shall mention only one here. He is known and called Saleh Momale; a great Scholar of distinction, a Fulani by tribe, he holds a PhD in Geography, a member of the Geoinformation Society of Nigeria, Association of Nigerian Geographers and many more. These, as outstanding and intimidating as they are, were never point of catchment when l met this man. He was a member of the Kaduna State Peace Commission until a few days ago when he left - good, you would say. He is an authority on Pastoralism. Does that mean he knows much about the herders/farmers relationship? Can he decode the working mindset of both the urbanized and nomadic Fulani? Does he has full knowledge on the Miyetti Allah metaphor? Let tomorrow reveal this my friend. We spoke for over two hours last night and l can assure you that he is a man you may want to meet in hurry. Hurrah!
