My Sunday Broadcast.

Glory to God that tomorrow, Monday, June 8, 2020, is another appointed date for all of us at Lagos Talk 91.3 FM, from 0930-1100 hours, as we go into another edition of topical issues’ review, with Sadiq & The Guru, live. Tomorrow edition comes heavily, but permit to say a word or two about the Nigerian peculiarity in all events under the sun.

Nigeria is a peculiar country on earth, with features that defy comprehensive human interpretations. It is most difficult to place Nigerian events along the corridor of wisdom for understanding. Not even in the market place of common sense’s analysis will wisdom, knowledge and understanding (the three tripod created by the Divine Deity for His creatures’ survival instinct) find solace of coordination to interpret Nigerian events logically.

No wonder, a one-time Nigerian Military President; the Maverick Evil Genius himself, the Four-Star General Ibrahim Babangida, had this to say about the Nigerian economy of his time:

“I don’t understand why and how the Nigerian economy hasn’t collapsed, because this is one economy in the whole world that defied all economic solutions”.

Take a look at few of the teasers below to understand my predicament in understanding Nigerian events. Things don’t just tally up in Nigeria - it is like we are in a perpetual state of Abracadabra; the state of the more you look the lesser you see.

How will you explain to the understanding of a sane world community that the Nigeria Police Force; in this twentieth century, would arrest a housewife (a woman baby-nursing a kid, locked her up in a police station for eight days for no offense of her own?

Her arrest and detention was because her husband, whom a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; a Minister synonymous with lies, said criticised him; and the so-called suspect was not available to be arrested.

So the wife had to be subdued to opprobrium and torture until the husband surrendered himself. Where else could this type of exercise of animalistic crudity could have taken place in the whole world if not in a collapsed State like Nigeria?

This is your 21st century Nigeria!

“Breaking: Buhari Government: 2,900 payments worth N51bn paid into personal accounts - BudgIT”, reported the Daily Post of June 4, 2020. In President Muhammadu Buhari’s government? you will be compelled to ask. And the answer remains emphatically YES. Why don’t you research the story and have the details before our meeting tomorrow? If you do, you shall be the one narrating the facts that Buhari and them; his predecessors, are just the “same side of this Nigerian coin.

Do you know that the oil sheik - albeit “self-crowned”, Diezani Madueke, while the EFCC spent millions of Naira investigating her with the hope of bringing her to justice in Nigeria, had actually ceased being a Nigerian citizen? The erstwhile Minister of Petroluem Resources acquired Dominican Republic citizenship far back in 2015, with a lucrative appointment of that country’s “Trade and Investment Commissioner”.

Her Dominican Republic Diplomatic Passport Number is DP0000445.

There are many questions emerging from this revelation obviously. But hold your questions till tomorrow please.

Still on corruption under the present administration. It may interest you to know that my very good namesake; Godwin Emefiele, might not be a saint after all. I am not the one saying it (how will l derive pleasure doing so to a name sake?) after all. The TNG (thenewsguru.com) - Africa’s number one news portal; where yours sincerely is the Editor-At-Large, presented the shocking revelation exclusively on June 4, 2020. Documented allegations of his alleged corrupt practices, compiled and submitted by a group - Nigerian Young Professionals Forum, is pending before the American Congress. The alleged corrupt practices is multidimensional in nature. NNPC was mentioned as co-culprit in one while President Buhari very close associate’s company - Bulet International Limited, was mentioned in another multi Naira fraud. Yet, there was also a black market Forex US$800 million leaving the CBN weekly until recently. The accusers of Godwin Emefiele downloaded enough documents to support their claim.

“Quote me; bandits who killed 70 people In Sokoto are Fulani”, claimed Sabon Birni, a former Local Government Chairman in Sokoto State. And the man gave very graphic narration of the Fulani killers in that operation. You will get all the details tomorrow.

All these are nothing but teasers!

Your Historical Perspective awaits you fresh and juicy, while tomorrow’s Knowledge Dropbox concludes the Isaac Jasper Adaka Boro narrative of who killed him.

I welcome you to The Guru’s expositions tomorrow, ipso facto.

I am still raising the banner of sponsorship for this program and time is running out on us. Do the needful at once - and your time starts now!

Godwin Etakibuebu (The Guru).
