My Sunbelt Rentals story - Billy Wharton, Director, Critical Power

As part of our series showcasing our team in our Energy Solutions, we spoke to Billy who leads our Critical Power Team.

Billy joined Sunbelt Rentals in April 2023, bringing with him an extensive career in energy projects across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Having started his career in the British Army, Billy is an Electrical Engineer by trade, serving in the Royal Core signals for over 6 years, before passing his apprenticeship and moving into the Energy Rental market.

He has since managed hundreds of complex temporary and critical power applications, involving both fossil fuels and renewables. When the chance to relocate back to the UK and join Sunbelt Rentals' Energy team presented itself, Billy jumped at the opportunity and has been happily facing the challenges and rewards every day since.
