My Summer Internship Experience at NBER
This summer, I had the opportunity to work as a Research Assistant with Professor Simon Siegenthaler on an NSF-funded project at the National Bureau of Economic Research . Our research focused on understanding social tipping points and norm change through large-scale laboratory experiments.
My responsibilities included conducting literature reviews, data collection, and analysis using R and SQL, as well as implementing experiments. During my internship, I learned the importance of thorough data management and the application of rigorous statistical methods to ensure the accuracy and reliability of research findings. Collaborating closely with Professor Siegenthaler, I gained valuable experience in formulating research questions, developing hypotheses, and interpreting results.
Working on this project has been an invaluable experience, allowing me to contribute to important research while refining my skills in database management, data analysis, and predictive modeling. The mentorship and support from the NBER team have been instrumental in my professional growth, providing me with a solid foundation for future research endeavors.
