My Summer Internship Experience at Keurig Dr. Pepper

Interning at Keurig Dr. Pepper opened up my understanding of various business processes and industries, a perspective I felt was lacking as I became increasingly focused on my major and coursework. During my time there, I had the opportunity to delve into a multitude of business operations, from supply chain management to marketing strategies, gaining insights that extended beyond the confines of my academic studies. The beverage industry, with its intricate dynamics of manufacturing, distribution, and marketing, offered a multifaceted view that enriched my understanding and equipped me with skills applicable across diverse sectors.

The practical application of my academic knowledge was a significant aspect of the internship. My project gave me great insight into the power of data analysis and its role in making impactful decisions. I utilized Tableau and SQL to aid me in creating a more efficient system across KDP’s manufacturing sites. The latter half of my project consisted of communicating my conclusions from the data analysis. The goal was to advocate for a systematic change that promised both cost and time benefits. This aspect of my role not only sharpened my analytical skills but also honed my ability to convey complex information in a compelling manner, a skill set I see as vital in any professional setting.

Additionally, my involvement at KDP acquainted me with the application of machine learning algorithms to tackle customer requirements. My experience at KDP solidified the idea that technology has the potential to transform various systems to serve its users to the utmost standard.
