My Summer Internship Experience at Goldman Sachs

For over 150 years, Goldman Sachs has prevailed as a prestigious global institution in investment banking, securities, and investment management. The company provides a comprehensive range of financial services to a substantial client base, encompassing a wide variety of corporations, governments, financial institutions, and individuals. During the past nine weeks, I had the incredible opportunity to intern as an Investment Banking Operations Summer Analyst in the Global Banking and Markets division of Goldman Sachs. Operations is at the very core of the firm, facilitating the seamless flow of the business. Through this internship, I acquired a considerable amount of knowledge and obtained a massive understanding of the division and the firm. Additionally, I was able to work on various different projects. I also collaborated with 5 other interns: Sofia Aguilera , Dapo Bankole , Jillian Bankaitis , Madeline Gibel , and Melanie Cohen .?

Overall, my internship experience at Goldman Sachs was phenomenal. I developed a great appreciation of Goldman Sachs’ culture, networked with impressive people across the firm, and significantly expanded my skill set. I was also given the chance to attend various different intern events and build long-lasting relationships. Additionally, my?team and I participated in the Operations Intern Project, where we provided a business solution for a given problem. We competed amongst several other groups for this project and won the competition!?

First and foremost, I would like to express immense gratitude to my two managers, Brian Perryman and Dan Martis , for guiding and supporting me along every step of the way. I would also like to thank my buddy, Mac Moore , and my mentor, Ryan D Mortimer , for always being there for me and helping me over the course of the internship. Furthermore, I am extremely grateful for each and every one of my team members and the wonderful intern group I was able to work alongside on this journey. I thoroughly enjoyed interning at Goldman Sachs and had a remarkable experience this summer!
