My Summer Internship Experience at 7 Eleven

As this summer semester ends, I would like to share my internship experience with you all-

I was fortunate to get an opportunity to do internship at 7 Eleven as a Data Engineer

I was elated to find out that I was going to work with the Enterprise Data team at 7-Eleven, Inc. 7 Eleven is an American multinational chain of retail convenience stores with headquarters in Irving, Texas.?It has approximately 78,029 stores in 19 countries and we can imagine the data generated from all these stores.

The Data Engineering team is responsible for the ingestion and validation of data and I worked closely with data team on multiple projects, I would like to mention few of my key tasks here like -performing data systems integration development, creating metrics and ingesting data in data lake, building ML models and develop API interfaces, implementing system enhancements, analyzing data using BI reports and finding insights, plan and direct devops implementation.

As I am looking forward to graduate this semester, I feel courses like Object Oriented Programming with Python, Database Management, Big Data?and Business Data?warehouse were very helpful.

I would like to thank My Manager Smita Garhwal for being kind and helpful, my mentor Jaskaran Sethi for guiding me and making me so comfortable in a team, my program director Mark Thouin and my family for always being there for me.

Really looking forward in continuing this journey with 7 Eleven and cheers to many more learnings.
