My Summer Internship at AT&T

Since its founding in 1983 by the then-dominant Bell Telephone Company, AT&T has maintained a consistent growth pattern for decades, making it the largest and most recognizable telecommunications company in existence today. With its expanding multi-gig fiber internet network and countrywide, fast, reliable, and secure 5G network, it is setting the pace. It's well known that AT&T fosters connections between people, with the things they need such in their daily lives, and with the important stories and experiences. All?while strengthening communities, fostering strong values, and recognizing the distinctions that make each of us unique.?

In February 2022, I received an offer to work for AT&T in their Dallas, Texas, office. When I learned that I would be interning at AT&T, I could not have been more ecstatic. I joined the Consumer Transformation Execution team, which is in charge of developing and compiling future-state omni-product business requirements that support streamlined and revolutionary consumer and agent/rep experiences.

I took part in an intern group project where our goal was to utilize 5G and MEC to close the digital divide among rural communities and college campuses. We determined that a number of critical issues needed to be addressed, including promoting digital literacy, integrating VR into homes to improve the environment of at-home learning, and expanding collaborations between the public and private sectors. We learned a lot from the digital divide and how critical it is to close the gap.?

Overall, I can look back on my internship at AT&T with fondness and I relished every second of it. My comfort zone's borders were pushed, which taught me to push myself to the utmost with anything that comes my way. It will be a summer to remember, filled with social gatherings and working with my first internship team.
